MatchDay Preview: Another Tough Opponent Tonight

Club Bad News Bears (0-0-1) vs. Invictus (0-0-0)
June 19, 2011     6:00pm CST
Houston Amateur Sports Park, Field #3
Houston, Texas

Club Bad News Bears look to extend their two game unbeaten streak tonight as they take on a tough opponent from last season, Invictus.  No one has forgotten that game from the 2011 Spring season, that resulted in a 1-1 tie.

Last season, Invictus struck first with a penalty kick, after a much argued foul called on Albert Martinez in the box.  Albert would exact revenge by scoring the equalizer in the 78th minute.

This second meeting between teams should be just as heated as the weather, which is forecasted for yet another 92 degrees by kickoff, and only a 10% chance of rain.  Here's a preview for both teams:

Club Bad News Bears:
  • Second meeting against Invictus.  First meeting resulted in a 1-1 tie.
  • Club Bad News Bears will be without Juan Sanchez for tonight's game.
  • This will be the first game for the Bears at Houston Amateur Sports Park.
  • Speed and consistency will be the keys to a successful campaign against Invictus.
